Although my home is color saturated head to toe.....this monochrome theme with shots of bold color really gets me.
It is all about the anchoring...the balance...and the furnishings do just this.

Magenta Rules
The wallpaper, the chair and the drapes sing to me....sing to me.....sing to me and I am listening intently!!
See those little vases of Gerber daisies? This is exactly what I picture on the table in the photograph entitled 'The Great Outdoors'....several posts down.

A Chair and a Shelf and a Blue Glass Head
This chair makes me crazy. A similar feel to those lush Anthropologie chairs that I continue to lust after.
This one is from SquintLimited. Their sofas and chairs stand alone and are meant to be the stars in your living space.
Good times, my friend, good times!
A little more formal than previous post....very much conjures up images of epicurean feasts and dear friends!

Not a table runner girl here, but I adore these for running sideways (live outside of the box I tell you!!). Dreamy colors.
The Great Outdoors
It is 50 degrees here in Baltimore. I have opened the windows (immediately the cats are right there with noses against screen!) and am dreaming of long days......warm nights and surrounding myself with friends, good food and a pretty place to savor both!!!!
This is from Idealhomemagazine.co.uk and it truly makes me smile! Needs a HUGE banana shaped bowl filled with citrus and a line of small vases filled with a rainbow of Gerber daisies!

Kim Hastreiter...editor & publisher of Paper magazine
Not only a great sense of style and intense color, Kim Hastreiter is just someone you would want to know...and perhaps rummage through her really COOL things...and give the dog a cuddle too (looks like a Tibetan terrier, very special dogs). Jaymes Richardson
The perfect family foom by Jaymes Richardson...citrus hues and poufy furniture are anchored with a deep brown geometrically designed rug. Modern, fresh and easy on the eyes. A more affordable approach to capturing this look would be a stroll through Ikea. The lime green walls (yes, I am obsessed) and the orange curtains...ohhhhh! From hgtv.com
Sheila Riehl David
This is just drama driven! I love it for the magenta and lime green...with black in the rug and some black accents that ground it and add dimension. I would eliminate the marble nesting tables, the interesting harp like shelving and the dark coffee table and replace with more contemporary pieces. I prefer a more eclectic mix of furnishings. But this really does rock. From hgtv.com P.S.~click on photos to see entire living space...these are cropped.

Erinn Valencich
Erinn Valencich
Omniarte Design by Erinn Valencich........I am crazy about green, especially lime and have painted my entire first floor in a softer lime...a first floor bathroom in a deep lime. I find it an amazing background for paintings and as a person who is at one with color (grin), it mixes great with magentas, violets, orange...all the colors inbetween the rainbow!! The curves and scrolls of the orange framed mirror resonate against the stylized vine wallpaper and wake up the SOUL, in a good way.
